Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Cake
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease and line a rectangular baking pan.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In another large bowl, beat eggs and sugar until pale and fluffy.
- Add milk, oil, and vanilla extract — mix well.
- Gradually fold in dry ingredients until smooth.
- Pour into the baking pan and bake for 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let it cool completely.
Step 2: Make the Chocolate Filling
- In a saucepan, combine condensed milk, heavy cream, and cocoa powder.
- Stir constantly over low heat until smooth.
- Add chocolate and butter, mix until melted and glossy.
- Let it cool slightly — it should thicken as it cools.
Step 3: Assemble
- Slice the cooled cake horizontally into two layers.
- Spread the chocolate filling evenly on the bottom layer.
- Place the top layer back on.
- Dust with powdered sugar.
Step 4: Serve
- Cut into squares (as shown in your photo).
